Solenis to Acquire Quimatec Produtos Químicos Ltda. for an Undisclosed Amount

November 10, 2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WILMINGTON, Del. (USA) – Solenis LLC today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase 100% of the shares of Quimatec Produtos Químicos Ltda. and Locatec de Araraquara Ltda-Me. The transaction is expected to close by year end following receipt of customary regulatory approvals.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Solenis to broaden our offering in the bioethanol market by leveraging Quimatec’s strong channel-to-market along with their advanced technology and leadership position in Brazil’s sugar-to-ethanol industry,” said John Panichella, president and CEO, Solenis. “The strong synergies in our product lines are obvious. Quimatec’s customers will be able to utilize our water treatment products and services in the sugar industry, while Solenis will be able to take advantage of their process chemistries in our more traditional heavy industry markets.” “Solenis remains focused on bringing unique process and water solutions to our customers and this is another example of our commitment to continuous investment in water-intensive industries,” stated Wanderley Flosi, vice president, Latin America.

“We are excited about becoming a part of Solenis and being able to offer a wider range of technical capabilities and products for our customers, “stated Fabricio Saab Pereira, Industrial Director, Quimatec Produtos Químicos Ltda.
