Solenis to acquire the assets of Nuplex Pulp & Paper in Australia and New Zealand

WILMINGTON, Del. — Effective April 22, 2016, Solenis Australia Pty Limited signed an agreement to acquire substantially all of the business assets of Nuplex Pulp & Paper from Nuplex Industries Limited. Solenis will acquire the technical, commercial, production assets and personnel of the Nuplex Pulp & Paper business in Australia and New Zealand. Nuplex Pulp & Paper is currently the exclusive distributor and technology licensee of Solenis pulp and paper products within Australia and New Zealand. The parties expect to complete the acquisition during the second quarter of 2016.

This acquisition enables Solenis to streamline its production and commercial organizations in Australia and New Zealand and improve local customer service. "The Australia and New Zealand market is an important market for Solenis," said Mr. Nandu Dhekne, vice president, Asia Pacific, Solenis. "The opportunity to expand our business in this region by going direct to the market through the acquisition of the Nuplex Pulp & Paper business will enable Solenis to be a total solution provider for our customers."
