Diversey Showcase Kitchen Hygiene Innovations at the Bocuse D’Or Final

January 10, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LYON, FRANCE 2019 – Diversey is preparing to continue its long-standing hygiene membership with the BOCUSE D’OR world chef championship. Held from 29-30 January 2019, in the exclusive Chef’s Village at the EUREXPO venue, LYON – for the biennial SIRHA International Hotel, Catering and Food Trade Exhibition - the Bocuse d’Or is one of the world’s most prestigious cooking competitions. As the culmination of a number of preliminary rounds, the grand final consists of 24 teams of 3-4 young chefs, representing countries from across Europe and other continents - including some African nations for the first time. Teams compete together across two days in this laboratory for worldwide cuisine.

Plant-Based Formulations

Eric Vaucher, Country Director, Diversey France states: “Diversey are exceptionally proud to be associated once again with the Bocuse d’Or. Just as essential to cooking as the creativity of the chefs from the various national teams, is the cleanliness of the kitchen environment in which this exciting food is prepared. We are pleased to be the cleaning partner for the show and the spotlight will be closely on our SURE™ range of products as the contestants will be using them throughout the competition. The formulation of these cleaning products perfectly matches the philosophy that motivates the contestants – incorporating the key values of modernity, innovation and perfect know-how.”

Sustainable Cleaning

The SURE™ range consists of 100 per cent biodegradable cleaning products designed to deliver superior professional results, while being safe and gentle for people and the environment. The entire SURE™ range is manufactured from environmentally-friendly ingredients from renewable resources. These plant-based ingredients are typically derived from by-products of the agro-food industry.

Visitors and competitors will discover that the SURE™ range covers all routine and daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen. All 18 products meet typical eco-certification criteria and - where applicable - are EU Ecolabel certified or have approval pending.SURE™ has been introduced to support businesses that want to adopt – and be seen to adopt – the highest levels of sustainability across their cleaning operations. Diversey’s products use unique concentrated pouches and systems that allow for safe and accurate dispensing.

Sustainable Experience

Visitors to the Bocuse d’Or will also be able to learn first-hand about the benefits of sustainable cleaning. The SURE™ range of products will be at Diversey’s booth at the exhibition, along with other innovative food service and consulting solutions. Prior to the Bocuse d’Or, the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie takes place from 27-28 January, also during the Sirha. This World Final showcases preparation of the most indulgent of desserts and is another opportunity to view Diversey’s cleaning innovations in action.

These include, the IntelliDish™ system which delivers predictive consulting by connecting kitchens to the cloud. IntelliDish™ turns data into dishwashing insights – sending data from kitchen machines to an interactive dashboard and emailing alerts directly to customers’ inboxes to ensure improved dishwasher maintenance. This will enable immediate corrective action, whilst optimizing water, energy, cleaning product and labour time involved.

“The expectations of the modern consumer is for a safer, healthier and more sustainable food experience. Consumers expect cleanliness and first-class hygiene in restaurants. We deliver and monitor first time results in the most sustainable, cost effective and productive way, while raising the bar on food safety and customer experience,” concludes Eric Vaucher.
