FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WILMINGTON, Del (USA) Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, will increase prices up to 10 percent on polyacrylamides across Europe, Middle East and Africa, effective Oct 1, 2019.
These increases are due to continuing shortages in key raw materials required to produce polyacrylamides, force majeure situations and unexpected maintenance shutdowns have resulted in significant cost increases over the last months. To ensure uninterrupted supply to all our customers, Solenis has been forced to purchase key raw materials at a significantly higher cost on a spot basis as well as increase the inventory for monomers and finished goods.
Solenis is actively working to mitigate the effect of these shortages and secure a cost-competitive supply of polyacrylamides to our customers.
