18th June 2020, Bengaluru: Continuing its campaign against counterfeit products, the Bengaluru City Police on a tip-off from Diversey India, recently conducted raids on Jai Ambe agencies, Sampangi Rama nagar, Thanisandra, Mayuri office Needs, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, RCE Office solutions. HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar , Bengaluru City and seized counterfeit cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and other items fraudulently labelled as Diversey products. A large quantity of fake cans, labels and packaging material were also seized. FIR has been lodged against the culprits for copyright violations under Section 64 of the Copyright Act, 1957.
With the Covid-19 pandemic raging across Karnataka and the entire country, there is a heightened demand for high-quality, speciality disinfection chemicals which have excellent microbial kill properties. Since supply lines are stretched, often leading to a scarcity of the right products in the market, it is even more important at these times to ensure availability of genuine products. Counterfeit products deny customers this right.
