Diversey and Cole-Parmer Form a Partnership to Provide Best-in-Class Cleanroom Sanitation for Coronavirus Vaccine Production

July 20, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

When the pharmaceutical industry began planning to produce COVID-19 vaccines they contacted Cole-Parmer’s scientific experts for guidance on the best possible cleaning and disinfection program to use in their laboratories. Cole-Parmer and their channel partners then turned to Diversey for their Oxivir range of EPA list N disinfectants that have a one-minute kill claim against COVID-19.

Throughout the pandemic, Diversey’s production planners and supply chain teams have re-engineered how they work: prioritizing production of the Oxivir ‘one-minute kill’ range and making it available in other formats while at the same time ensuring a reliable supply of hygiene and sanitation products to customers in the life sciences and infection prevention sectors.

With such an important task at hand within the pharmaceutical industry, Diversey and Cole-Parmer came together to support their customers’ and channel partners’ ambitions. As well as providing a recommended product portfolio and use protocols, they have evaluated and optimized vaccine producers’ clean-in-place systems to meet the levels of cleanliness and safety required while also achieving operating efficiencies.

“With a mission to protect and care for people every day, supporting the life sciences sector has been a priority for us as we work all together in overcoming this Coronavirus outbreak,” said Céline Lovato, Global Life Sciences Sector Director, Diversey. “Enabling the supply of products and expertise to create safer cleanroom environments for vaccination production is critical in this time.” Speaking directly about the partnership with Cole-Parmer, Rob Bowness, Life Sciences Sector Leader NAM, Diversey, said “collaborating with Cole-Parmer demonstrated the shared mission of both companies in promoting public safety. Our Oxivir range is the best-in-class for this application and, thanks to the hard work of our colleagues behind the scenes, we are able to provide flexibility and reliability in supply.”
