A natural gas-fired power plant using municipal wastewater (gray water) for cooling water makeup was facing microbiological (MB) control challenges. Aggressive oxidizer treatment increased stainless steel corrosion rates. The stress in the system was exacerbated by drought conditions that resulted in increased gray water usage and increased MB fouling.
This case history describes how this power plant overcame these challenges and ultimately reduced its corrosion rates, water use and operational costs with Solenis’ Biosperse™ XD3899 microbiocide. If you would like to learn about the various benefits this plant realized upon employing this novel technology, please complete and submit the form below and we will gladly email you a link to the case history.
